Went to Barcelona with my sister last weekend and packed like I was going on some glamorous European vacation. Reality check: by day two my feet were dying in cute ankle boots and I looked like a sweaty tourist while she’s out here looking chic in her comfortable sneakers. She definitely won that sibling competition and I’m still bitter about it.
City breaks are so deceiving because you want to look put-together for all the photos but you’re also walking like 20,000 steps a day and carrying stuff everywhere. Plus you never know if you’ll end up at a fancy restaurant or climbing up some random cathedral stairs. My cute dress was perfect for dinner but absolutely terrible for that surprise hike up to the viewpoint.
I’ve learned from way too many uncomfortable city trips that the key is looking intentional but being practical. These outfits won’t leave you limping back to your hotel or feeling overdressed when you decide to randomly explore some sketchy neighborhood because it looked cool on Google Maps.
Here are my absolute favorite city girl outfits and I’m so sure you’ll love them too.
