Looking for puerto vallarta outfits that include more than swimsuits? Think pink matching sets, striped shorts and pretty dresses for your dinner plans.
There’s plenty to choose from here, whether you’re starting with a favorite bikini or deciding which sandals to pack.
You can keep things simple or go all out with flowers and fringe. I especially love the little touches of yellow and pink. These looks give you a few different ways to put your vacation wardrobe together.
Vacation outfit ideas worth saving
white florals and a cowboy hat
We’re starting off strong with this brown bikini and white floral-patterned cover-up set. I love the flared sleeves and the little ties hanging at the hips.
Try a brown cowboy hat and narrow sunglasses if you want to follow this look. The hat is such a fun change from a plain wide-brim style.
striped shorts and tan slides
If you are looking for something simple to put together, this one is for you. A white bandeau and blue-and-white striped shorts look so cute with tan crossover slides.
The little pendant necklace is all the extra detail you need.
pink on pink
How cute is this matching pink set? The open shirt and drawstring shorts sit over a pale pink bikini top, with a tan hat to finish it off.

Keep the black sunglasses if you’re recreating this combination. You don’t need to make every accessory pink too!
navy with a little yellow
This may just be one of my favorite color combinations here. I love the pale yellow sweater tied over the navy top.
The white wide-leg pants and navy-trimmed tote look so good together.
Black flip-flops keep the outfit casual. Try the same shoulder-tied detail if you already have a yellow sweater in your wardrobe.
white halter and flower details
I am obsessed with this white maxi dress. The openwork pattern is so pretty, plus those flowers around the halter neckline are adorable.
A small white handbag and slim strappy sandals finish the look. I’d save this one for a dressier dinner.
black ruffles and split hems
Don’t want to wear a dress for dinner? No problem!
Try a black ruffled crop top with matching wide-leg pants. The side openings show off the black slides underneath.
I love the pale textured clutch against all that black. Drop earrings add just a little more detail.
pastel flowers and long fringe
If you are looking for lots of accessory inspo, then this one is for you. There’s a pink handbag, colorful drop earrings and even little flowers on the pink heels.

The collage pairs them with a pastel floral bikini and a cream fringed wrap skirt. I’d choose the fringe and gold-tone cuff if you only want to borrow a couple of details.

blue stripes and white shorts
Don’t want to go overboard with your daytime outfit? This blue striped shirt and white shorts pairing is a lovely place to start.
I love the rolled sleeves and the shirt left untucked.
Add a white shoulder tote and slim black sunglasses to follow the same look.
lime and bright pink
The lime and pink pairing is so cute in this sporty outfit. A pink layer peeks out above the lime tank and matches the bright shorts.
If you want a colorful workout look for your trip, try this combination with white socks and sneakers. The little lime details on these shoes are a fun extra.
striped shirt over navy
Here’s another way to wear stripes, this time over a navy bikini top. The oversized shirt falls off one shoulder above white shorts, with a pale tote hanging from the other shoulder.
I especially love the patterned bikini straps. Leave your shirt partly open if you want that detail to show.
white skirt and gold-tone cuffs
This white skirt set is so pretty. I love the gathered side of the top and the uneven hem on the long skirt.
Those chunky gold-tone cuffs are my favorite part.
Try brown flat sandals like these if you want to keep the outfit a little less dressy.
sand-colored top and cream pants
If you’re looking for an outfit that keeps the colors simple, go with this sand-colored asymmetrical top and cream wide-leg pants. The ring detail and hanging ties give the top a little something extra.
The collage adds tan slides, a small structured bag and gold-tone jewelry. A yellow flower clip would be a pretty way to bring in the hair inspiration too.
red mini and sneakers
How cute is this red mini dress? The scoop neckline and slightly flared skirt keep it simple, while white socks and chunky sneakers give it a sporty twist. I love the layered necklaces with it.
navy dress with a bow
The little cream bow is so sweet on this navy dress. There’s a striped panel at the neckline and fine pale stripes around the short sleeves.
If you like a sailor-inspired look, this is a fun one to borrow. I’d add simple white flats and keep the heart pendant.
orange floral maxi
Bring a little color to your dinner plans with this orange-and-white floral maxi dress. I am in love with that big print.
The high slit shows off the white strappy heels underneath.

For a flatter-shoe version, I’d try white sandals and leave the rest just like this.
pale tank and white pants
If you’re looking for a simple neutral outfit, go with a pale scoop-neck tank and white drawstring pants. The loose legs and fitted top make a lovely pairing.
A few bracelets are enough to finish it off.
orange flowers and lilac accents
I know the floral maxi above is gorgeous, but this little dress is another favorite. Mostly because the orange and lilac look so cute together.
The purple flower clip picks up the lilac bag and lace-up sandals. Try pulling your hair into a braid if you want to make room for a flower like this one.
matching blue stripes
This is another striped outfit, but it’s a little different from the shirt looks above. The straight-neck top and matching shorts have the same narrow blue-and-white pattern.
I love the small cream shoulder bag with its gold-tone chain. It’s a pretty finishing touch for the set.
pastel stripes and a white wrap
Don’t want a button-front shirt over your swimsuit? No problem there! Try a sheer white wrap worn across one shoulder instead.
The pastel striped swim set shows through here, with pink ties at the neck and hips. Black rectangular sunglasses give the sweet colors a different finishing touch.
pale yellow and white shorts
Last but definitely not least, we have this cute pale yellow top and white shorts combination. I love the off-shoulder neckline with the black bikini strap peeking out.
The dark belt matches the shoulder bag. Add gold-tone hoops and a few bracelets if you want to follow the accessories here.
