20 Bathroom Greenery Ideas With Trailing Vines and Pretty Plant Corners

Looking for bathroom greenery that goes beyond a little pot by the sink? Think trailing vines around a mirror, leafy shelves and a tall plant beside the tub.

These ideas range from small countertop displays to bathrooms filled with green.

You can keep it simple or go all out. Start with the space you have, then choose a look you love. For living plants, check that your bathroom’s light suits them before copying a placement.

Greenery ideas for your bathroom

long vines by the tub

We’re starting off strong with these gorgeous trailing vines. The hanging plant sits in front of a narrow window, with long stems reaching down toward the white tub.

If you want to try a similar look, start with one hanging planter rather than filling every ledge. I love how much green this one plant brings to the tiled corner.

eucalyptus around the shower rail

Don’t want to add a whole shelf of pots? No problem!

These eucalyptus stems hang behind the shower rail, with rounded gray-green leaves falling on both sides.

The muted leaves look so pretty against the beige tiles. For your own version, keep the stems clear of the showerhead and controls.

a leafy mirror frame

I am obsessed with this mirror. The heart-shaped leaves climb along the broad brown frame and spread across the pale green wall.

The white pot on the lower ledge is such a simple detail beside all those vines. If you try training stems around your mirror, leave the lights and outlet clear.

a little tub jungle

How cute is that “WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE” mat? With tall striped leaves beside the tub and trailing plants filling the back corner, it fits right in.

I especially love the spotted leaves tucked into the group. Try mixing upright plants with trailing ones if you want this same full look.

plants and books on shelves

This is one of my favorite bathroom greenery ideas for a small wall. Two brown shelves hold plants, books and little ornaments above the toilet.

The cream-edged leaves on the left are so pretty beside the darker vines on the right. Keep a little space between your pots for a favorite decorative piece.

one big window pot

If you are looking for something simple, this one is for you. A tall brown pot sits beside the black-framed window, with branching stems and deeply cut green leaves.

I love the little black lidded jar next to it. You don’t need a whole collection of plants to make this corner worth saving.

vines beside the mirror

Want the leafy mirror look without a thick border of foliage? These separate strands hang down beside the mirror, leaving most of the glass uncovered.

Try a few decorative vine strands along the outer edges of your own mirror. Keep them above the brushes and bottles so your everyday things stay easy to reach.

three hanging planters

How cute is this little hanging group? The cream knotted hangers hold pots at different heights, with the longest vine spilling from the blue-green pot.

Choose a few different pot colors if you want to follow this idea. That small brown pot at the top is just as lovely as the larger ones.

big split leaves

The oversized split leaves are my favorite part of this plant corner. A large brown floor pot sits beside smaller plants near a window and radiator.

This photo doesn’t show a bathroom, but you could borrow the grouping for a roomy bathroom corner with suitable light. Leave enough space for those wide leaves rather than squeezing them beside the sink.

green walls and upright leaves

I love this deep green wall with the patterned floor. The two upright plants beneath the sink bring the green right down to floor level.

There’s a smaller arrangement on the mirror shelf too. If your counter is tiny, that’s a lovely place to borrow a little display space.

a leafy shower ledge

If you are looking for an all-out plant display, then this one is for you. A long high planter stretches across the shower wall, with fine feathery foliage mixed among broad leaves.

I am in love with the shadows falling across the gray tiles. The little bottle shelves below keep the rest of the wall simple.

trailing leaves over storage

This is such a pretty way to dress up an over-the-toilet shelf. One full plant sits at the top of the black frame, with its vines falling down the right side.

The muted green shower curtain ties in beautifully. Try keeping your towels and bottles on the lower shelves so the plant has its own spot.

white orchid and a round tray

Don’t want vines hanging everywhere? This white orchid display is a lovely alternative.

The tall flowers rise above a round tray holding a candle, pump bottle and small dark bottle.

I’d keep the pale pot and simple accessories just like this. The flowers don’t need much extra decoration.

purple leaves at the window

This tub corner may just be my favorite one so far. I love the purple trailing leaves in the circular hanger, especially beside all the green plants.

There are pots along the right ledge and climbing stems reaching up the wall. For a smaller version, try one purple-leaved plant beside one green trailing plant.

framed greenery on the wall

Who says your plant display has to sit on a shelf? This dark rectangular frame is filled with different shades of green, with a tall upright plant below it.

The green rug is a cute finishing touch. You could try a framed faux greenery arrangement if you want a decorative wall piece without a living vertical garden.

a pale green pot and cuttings

How pretty is this little countertop group? A tall spiky plant sits in a pale green pot beside leafy cuttings in a clear vase.

I especially love the floral edge of the raised tray. Try gathering your plant and a bottle together on a decorative tray instead of spreading everything across the counter.

oversized leaves beside the bath

If you love big leaves, this one’s for you. The tall plant fills the window corner beside the blue-gray freestanding tub.

Those bright green leaves look gorgeous against the white paneled wall. I’d keep the surrounding decor simple and let a plant this size have the corner to itself.

little plants on a shower caddy

This is another cute way to mix plants with everyday storage. Bright trailing leaves spill from the upper shelf, while a smaller cream-and-green plant sits below.

You could borrow the arrangement for a bathroom shelf outside the spray. Keep room for your bottles and check the shelf’s weight limit before adding pots.

striped leaves in a narrow corner

Don’t have room for a wide, leafy plant? This upright snake plant fits into a narrow gap beside the toilet, behind a small pedal bin.

I love the yellow edges on the dark striped leaves. A slim pot and stand are worth considering if your available floor space looks like this.

green tiles and leafy corners

Last but definitely not least, we have this green-tiled bathroom. I am obsessed with the leafy plants beside the shower and the smaller pots near the sink.

The brown vanity and black fixtures look so good with all that green. If you’re not changing your tiles, try borrowing the plant groupings and green towels instead.
