Looking for a collection display cabinet that gives your favorite things a place to shine? From little teacups to rows of sneakers, these ideas show just how different a display can look.
There are colorful wall cabinets, tall enclosed cases and a few open-shelf alternatives too.
You can keep things simple or fill your shelves with all the things you love. Start with what you want to display, then take a look at the colors, arrangements and little details below.
Display ideas worth saving
colorful cabinets above the sofa
We’re starting off strong with these colorful wall cabinets. I love the orange, white, green and dark blue lined up above the sofa.
Little pots, framed pictures and plants fill the illuminated shelves.
For a similar look, choose a few cabinet colors rather than making every frame match. Use flameless candles if you want that candlelit detail inside.
an arched top and blue goblets
How gorgeous is this curved cabinet top? The dark brown frame surrounds clear pitchers, blue goblets and all sorts of little decorative pieces.
Try placing your taller pieces on the upper shelf like this. I especially love the blue-and-white striped pieces among the clear shapes.
a whole wall of sneakers
The sneaker fans are going to love this! Black-framed boxes cover almost the entire wall, with colorful shoes facing sideways so you can see their different designs.
Give each style its own compartment if you want to follow this arrangement. There’s no need to stick to one color when the boxes already match.
white cabinets and miniature builds
I am obsessed with these little buildings and flower models. The white cabinets keep the backdrop simple while the purple castle and red tree bring in plenty of color.
Leave a taller space for your largest build, then tuck smaller models into the shorter shelves. Those little flowers deserve their own spot too.
hanging pocket watches
If you are looking for a different way to show off small pieces, this one is for you. Pocket watches hang from horizontal rails at different heights, showing both clock faces and decorated cases.
The tiny portraits are my favorite part. For your own display, look for supports suited to the pieces rather than piling them together on a shelf.
glassware below a gallery wall
This cabinet may just be one of my favorites here. Rows of glasses sit above white pitchers and a big silver-colored bucket, with framed pictures gathered overhead.
I love the pleated lampshade beside the pink flowers. A lamp and one favorite picture would be a lovely starting point for styling your own cabinet top.
curved front and colorful figurines
How pretty are all those little dresses? Pink, green, blue and yellow figurines fill this curved-front cabinet, with diamond-patterned panels across the upper part.
The large clock above gives the display another lovely detail. I’d keep the figurines facing slightly different directions, just like these.
records and trailing plants
Don’t want an enclosed cabinet? No problem!
This open-shelf alternative brings records, plants and a turntable together on one peach-colored wall.
I love the album cover facing forward beside the turntable. Try showing one of your favorites that way instead of keeping every cover tucked into a row.

green cubbies and seashells
I am obsessed with this green display. There are so many little compartments for shells, stones and other natural-looking finds.
The large pale sand dollar is especially pretty against the green.
Choose a cubby arrangement with different-sized openings if your collection includes both tiny pieces and larger shapes.
pink lights and character figures
If you want to go all out with color, then this one is for you. Pink and purple lighting surrounds rows of character figures inside a wide white cabinet.
Some boxes sit behind the figures while larger characters get more space around them. Keep a few favorite packages in your own arrangement if you love their artwork too.
arched shelves beside the fireplace
Don’t want to fill every shelf? Look at these arched displays on either side of the fireplace.
A few vases, a clock and small ornaments sit above white cupboards.

The orange-red vase on the right is such a pretty touch. You could try one colorful piece among a smaller group of neutral objects.
sage green and blue florals
This is such a pretty collection display cabinet if you love blue-and-white patterns. Floral plates stand behind a pitcher and little decorative pieces, with two dark blue stemmed glasses on the right.
I especially love the sage-green frame and gold-colored handles. Stand a few patterned plates at the back of your own shelves to show off their designs.
a narrow perfume tower
Who says your perfume bottles have to stay on a tray? This tall, narrow cabinet has rows of bottles with rounded and rectangular shapes.
There’s even a little white swan-shaped piece on the upper shelf.
The mirrored back repeats all those little details. Try grouping similar bottle shapes together if you want an arrangement like the middle shelf.
cups above a miniature village
Have more than one kind of collection? This cabinet gives each one its own area.
Silver-colored cups and pitchers fill the upper shelves while colorful vessels and miniature buildings sit below.

The little lighthouses are so cute. You don’t have to make everything match when each shelf has its own group.
folded blankets and old-style cameras
This is one of my favorite mixed displays on the list. Folded blankets, cameras and books share the cabinet, with mirrors and decorative objects gathered above.
A large lidded basket sits on the floor underneath.

I love the pale patterns against the brown frame. Try leaving a narrow section for your smaller collectibles instead of filling every shelf with folded stacks.

a black arch and simple shelves
If you’re looking for something a little simpler, go with a display like this. The black arched frame surrounds a gold-colored decorative ball, geometric ornaments and little potted plants.
That small watering can on the stack of books is such a sweet detail. I’d leave the extra shelf space open.
handbags behind dark-framed doors
I am obsessed with this handbag display. Pink, red, cream and dark bags sit upright on broad shelves, with their handles and clasps facing forward.
Give your favorites room to stand side by side rather than hiding one behind another. The little cream bag in the middle is especially cute.
a frame full of toy cars
How fun is this? Colorful toy cars fill the lower part of a deep wall frame, with red racers, blue trucks and bright green cars all packed together.
This is a playful alternative to separate cubbies. If you’d rather see each car on its own, you could look for a similar frame with individual compartments.
illuminated trading card rows
The card collectors are going to love this one. Rows of encased cards face forward inside a tall brown cabinet, with bright strips of light running down the sides.
Colorful boxes and small characters sit at the bottom. Try keeping your display cards upright so their artwork stays visible instead of stacking them flat.
rose teacups and scalloped edges
Last but definitely not least, we have this pretty floral tea display. I love the pink teapot and all those rose-covered cups!
White openwork doilies hang over the shelf edges.
Stand your plates behind the cups to show their flowers too. The little pair of angels in the middle is such a sweet finishing touch.
