Looking for a coffee station cabinet that gives your favorite mugs a home? Think little painted hutches, tucked-away shelves and full-height cabinets with room for more than your morning coffee.
These ideas include simple setups plus larger built-ins, with a drinks bar included for layout inspiration.
You can keep things simple or go all out. I especially love the colorful mug displays.
Start with the space you have, then decide what you’d like on show.
Coffee Station Ideas Worth Saving
paneled cabinets and little sconces
We’re starting off strong with this gorgeous coffee station cabinet. I love the little round sconces above the shelves.
The espresso machine sits on one side while a small sink has its own space on the other.
Try displaying a small framed picture behind your cups like the one here. It’s such a pretty detail.
dark shelves and a shaded lamp
How cute is this little lamp beside the coffee maker? The black cabinet and thick brown shelves give you plenty to work with, from clear canisters to a hand-crank grinder.
If you want to try the same arrangement, gather your smaller accessories on a tray rather than spreading them across the whole counter.
a curved hutch with rooster decor
This hutch may just be one of my favorites here. I love the curved top and the rooster sitting beside the coffee sign.
The brick-patterned backing gives the gray cabinet a little extra character.
A standing mug rack is a lovely option if you’d rather not add hooks to the cabinet itself.
white mugs and black rails
If you are looking for something that keeps the colors simple, this one is for you. White mugs hang from black rails inside the white hutch, with patterned canisters beside the coffee maker.
The dark handles and hinges tie it all together.
an appliance cupboard with pullouts
Don’t want all your appliances out on the kitchen counter? This cupboard gives you a different arrangement to consider.
The microwave sits above the coffee maker, toaster and blender, with pullout storage underneath.
I especially like being able to see the dishes and containers in those extended trays. For your own version, check each appliance’s clearance and ventilation requirements before planning the shelves.
sage green and patterned mugs
I am obsessed with this sage-green coffee machine. It’s so cute beside the little mug tree, especially with that floral cup hanging near the top.
The botanical picture and leafy stems carry the green onto the shelf above. Try a small basket for your coffee filters if you like this arrangement.
a narrow charcoal coffee nook
This is a lovely idea for a narrow spot beside a tall cabinet. The espresso machine sits above deep charcoal drawers while brown shelves hold glasses against a white tiled backing. I love the leafy plant at the very top.

white arches and floral backing
How gorgeous is this arched coffee nook? The leafy floral backing is my favorite part, though those illuminated shelves are a close second.
White pitchers and cups sit above the machine, with more dishes displayed behind the tall doors alongside it. If you want to borrow one detail, try a patterned backing behind your own open shelves.

brown shelves and an amber lamp
Don’t want your coffee corner to look completely separate from the rest of your decor? This little setup is for you.
A sculptural amber-colored lamp sits beside the machine, with books and a shiny vase on the shelves above.
I love the brown mugs here. You don’t have to stick to matching white cups.
a brown sideboard and pod jars
If you’re looking for a simple arrangement to build on, go with a brown sideboard and a black mug rail. This one has coffee makers at opposite ends with clear pod jars in the middle.
The small framed photo on the shelf is a sweet touch. Add one of your own if you want something personal among the coffee supplies.
black drawers and leafy shelves
The plant lovers are going to love this! There’s greenery across the top shelf and another pot beside the coffee maker.
I especially like the gold-colored pulls against the black cabinet.
Keep a lower shelf open for plates and a basket if you want a similar mix of display space and drawers.
taupe cabinets and glowing shelves
I am obsessed with this taupe cabinet setup. The narrow vertical lines behind the shelves look so pretty under the lighting.
White mugs and clear glasses keep the display simple.
The little covered cake stand is worth saving as an idea too. You could use one beside your machine when setting out pastries.
blue doors and stacked white mugs
This is such a pretty way to use deep blue. The color continues inside the cupboard and across the drawers, with gold-colored handles on the doors.
I love how simple the counter stays: an espresso machine on the left and white mugs on a small round riser. There’s even a screen mounted above.
gray cabinetry with a little sink
If you want your coffee area to include a sink, this one gives you plenty of inspiration. The curved gold-colored faucet sits beside the espresso machine beneath rows of glasses and mugs.
The brown interior looks so lovely against the gray doors. I’d keep that two-color combination if planning a similar cabinet.
mesh doors and coffee equipment
Have more than one way you like to brew coffee? This wide setup leaves room for an espresso machine, grinders and smaller tools.
The shelves above hold pour-over pieces and other brewing accessories.
I especially love the black mesh-patterned doors below. They give this cabinet a different look from the paneled ones.
a pale blue hutch
How cute is this pale blue cabinet? The dark horizontal backing and two glowing cage-style lights make it look quite different inside.
White mugs sit in the cubby beneath the coffee maker, with copper-colored cups to the right. Try yellow flowers like these if you want a little extra color.
a tucked-away pullout shelf
Don’t want to dedicate a whole wall to your coffee setup? No problem!
This small cupboard holds a coffee maker and a clear jar of pods on an extended shelf.
The white mug and pale cabinetry keep everything simple. Measure the machine with its lid open before planning your own version.
a dark blue drinks bar
This one is a drinks bar rather than a coffee station, so there’s no coffee maker shown. But the dark blue cabinets, small sink and illuminated pale backsplash are lovely ideas to borrow.

For a coffee-focused version, you could use part of the counter for your machine and swap a bottle shelf for mugs.
green drawers and patterned tile
I love this muted green cabinet with its gold-colored handles. The white-and-gold patterned backsplash is so pretty beneath the brown shelves.
There’s room for books and a little framed fern above the coffee equipment. Try keeping your everyday mugs on the lower shelf like the ones here.
colorful mugs and staggered shelves
Last but definitely not least, we have this adorable mug-filled coffee corner. I am obsessed with the little display rack beside the green machine.
The pink, orange and yellow cups are too cute.
The staggered shelves leave room for a trailing plant and colorful art above. This is a lovely idea if you want to show off a collection rather than hide it away.
